Christmas or Christmas Day is a great holiday celebrated all over the world. It is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ. In different countries the date of celebration varies – most people celebrate Christmas on December 25, but in Eastern Europe the marry day is on January 7.
The celebration of this holiday is very merry and interesting, it has rich traditions. Preparing to this day people decorate their houses, yards, flats, stores etc. On December 25 people gather and sing Christmas carols, wish merry Christmas, give each other cards and gifts.
Children believe that Santa Clause comes at night and leaves presents for them. Sometimes they leave cookies and milk for Santa.
