Barbecued-MarshmallowsIngredients:
* 125 g (4 oz) packet of marshmallows

1. Thread the marshmallows on to skewers, allowing 1 skewer per child. Put 4-6 marshmallows on each skewer.
2. Carefully cook over the hot coals on a preheated barbecue for 2-4 minutes until the marshmallows are browned and toasted-looking on the outside and melted and hot on the inside.
3. Leave the marshmallows for a minute or so before removing from the skewers and eating, but avoid letting them get cold.

Serves: 4-6

Variation: Another way of serving marshmallows which is popular with children is to melt them in a heatproof bowl or fondue dish until they are completely runny and then to give each child a peeled, fresh banana to dip into the marshmailow fondue. An equally good variation can be made by simply pouring melted pink marshmailow over some homemade or good-quality vanilla ice cream, and some melted white marshmallows over strawberry flavoured ice cream.
