* 175g (6 oz) carrot
* 175g (6 oz) potato
* 175g (6 oz) sweet potato
* 175g (6 oz) pumpkin
* 175g (6 oz) swede
* 175g (6 oz) parsnip

Wash peel and chop your chosen vegetables, place them in a saucepan and just cover with boiling water. Cook over a medium heat until tender (about 20 minutes). Blend the vegetables to a smooth puree using as much of the cooking liquid as necessary. Alternatively, steam the vegetables until tender, blending to a puree using some of the boiled water from the bottom of the steamer. You can also add some of your baby's usual milk as well as some of the cooking liquid. Spoon some of the puree into your baby's bowl and serve lukewarm.
