3 oz butter
3 oz soft brown sugar
4 oz porridge oars

75 g butter
75 g soft brown sugar
100 g porridge oats

Put the butter in an 18 cm/7 inch round shallow dish.  MICROWAVE ON HIGH for 1 1/2 minutes until melted. Stir in the sugar and oats and press down evenly. MICROWAVE ON HIGH for 4-5 minutes, giving the dish a quarter-turn every 1 minute during cooking. Leave in the dish to cool slightly until firm, then mark into wedges. Turn out on to a wire rack and cut into wedges when cold.
