* 125g (4 oz) Stork margarine
* 125g (4 oz) granulated sugar
* 4 x 15ml spoons (4 tablespoons) golden syrup

1. Grease a 15cm (6 inch) or 18cm (7 inch) square shallow tin.
2. Place all ingredients in a large saucepan. Dissolve sugar slowly over a low heat. Bring to the boil and boil rapidly at 120°C (250°F) for 5-7 minutes until a little of the mixture when dropped into cold water, forms a hard ball.
3. Allow bubbles to subside, then pour into prepared tin. Mark into squares when nearly set. Break apart when cold.

Makes about 36 squares of Toffee.
