1 lb lean minced beef
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
salt and freshly ground pepper
1 egg, beaten
1-2 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sage and onion stuffing mix
8 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon gravy powder


Metric
500 g lean minced beef
2 x 5 ml spoons Worcestershire sauce
salt and freshly ground pepper
1 egg, beaten
1-2 x 15 ml spoons flour
4x 15 ml spoons sage and onion stuffing mix
8 x 15 ml spoons water
1 x 5 ml spoon gravy powder

Mix the beef, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning and egg together. Roll out on a floured surface to a 15 x 20 cm/6 x 8 inch rectangle. Make up the stuffing according to the directions on the packet and bind with the water. Form into a sausage shape, the same width as the meat, and place along one edge. Roll up, enclosing the stuffing, and press the edges of the meat together to seal. Transfer the meat roll to a shallow dish into which it fits tightly. Sprinkle with the gravy powder and MICROWAVE ON HIGH for 10 minutes, turning the meat over halfway through cooking.
