* 50g (2 oz) caster sugar
* 60 ml (2 fl oz) water
* 250 g (9 oz) strawberries, hulled and cut in half
* 1 medium orange, squeezed

Put the sugar and water into a saucepan aad boil until syrupy (about 3 minutes). Allow to cool. Puree the strawberries and sieve to get rid of the seeds. Combine the strawberry puree, syrup and orange juice and pour this mixture into ice-lolly (ice-block) moulds. Freeze until solid.

Serves: 8 portions
