* 75 g (3 oz) self-raising flour
* 25 g (1 oz) cocoa powder
* pinch of salt
* 100 g (4 oz) light muscovado (light brown) sugar
* 100 g (4 oz) butter
* 1 tsp vanilla essence
* 2 eggs, lightly beaten
* juice of 1 orange
* finely grated zest of 1 orange

* 75 g (3 oz) light muscovado (light brown) sugar
* 25 g (1 oz) cocoa powder
* 300 ml (10 fl oz) full-fat milk

1. Pre-heat an oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas Mark 4. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder and salt. Cream together the sugar and butter, then beat in the vanilla essence and eggs. Fold in the flour mixture. Mix in 2 tablespoons of the orange juice and the orange zest and spoon the mixture into a buttered 1 litre (2 pint), ovenproof, pudding-shaped dish.
2. To make the sauce, mix together the sugar and cocoa and stir in the remaining orange juice and milk. Pour the sauce over the chocolate sponge mix and bake in the oven until the top is firm and spongy (40 to 45 minutes).
