* 1lb (450g) cod fillets
* 1 pint (600ml) milk
* 4oz (100g) beurre manie
* salt
* freshly ground black pepper
* 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
* a little nutmeg
* 4 hard-boiled eggs, quartered
* 1 1/2lb (675g) creamy mashed potato

1. Arrange the fish fillets in a dish, cover with a lid or pierced clear film and cook on full power for 6 minutes until the flesh flakes easily. Peel off and discard skin and remove any bones.
2. Heat the milk in a bowl on full power for about 4 minutes, then whisk in the beurre manie until smooth and thickened. Season the sauce to taste and add parsley, nutmeg to taste, eggs and flaked fish. Turn into a serving dish. Spread the potato carefully over the sauce and mark the top with a fork.
3. To serve, heat through on full power for about 8 minutes, then transfer to a hot grill for a minute or two until the potato has browned. (You can cook a vegetable or two for accompaniment while the potato topping is browning.)
