* 4 rump steaks, trimmed
* 4 teaspoons French mustard
* 4 tablespoons soft light brown sugar
* salt and pepper
* parsley sprigs, to garnish (optional)

1. Season the steaks with black pepper. Combine the mustard and sugar and spread half of the mixture over one side of each steak.
2. Grill the steaks over hot coals on a preheated barbecue for 5 minutes. Turn the steaks over and spread them with the remaining mustard mixture. Cook the steaks for a further 5 minutes or until they are cooked according to taste. Season to taste with a little salt. Serve the steaks garnished with parsley sprigs, if using, and a salad.
