* 250 ml (8 fl oz) your baby's usual milk
* 40 g (1 1/2 oz) Edam or Cheddar cheese, grated
* 50 g (2 oz) cooked chicken, diced
* 50 g (2 oz) broccoli florets
* 50 g (2 oz) carrots, peeled and sliced
* 25 g (1 oz) unsalted butter
* 2 tbsp flour

Steam the broccoli and carrots until tender. Cut the broccoli into small pieces and dice the carrot. To prepare the cheese sauce, melt the butter in a saucepan, stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in the milk, bring to the boil and cook until the sauce has thickened. Remove from the heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Mix the cooked chicken and vegetables into the cheese sauce. For young babies, puree to the desired consistency in a blender.
