* 225 g (8 oz) frozen spinach

* pinch grated nutmeg

Tomato sauce:
* 1 onion, peeled and finely chopped
* 1 clove garlic, crushed
* 1 bay leaf
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* 500 to 600 ml (17 to 20 fl oz) passata (tomato puree)
* salt and freshly ground black pepper
* 25 g (1 ox) Cheddar cheese, sliced
Decoration:
* 8 sauteed button mushrooms
* 20 stoned black olives
* 75 g (3 oz) fine egg noodles
* 1 carrot, peeled
* 1/4 red and green pepper (capsicum), de-seeded
