Spiced Texas Chilli
Ingredients
- 350g pack Quorn Pieces
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 medium green pepper; deseeded & chopped
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 2 x 397g/14 oz cans kidney beans, drained
- 397g/14 oz can chopped tomatoes
- 500g/1 lb 2 oz passata
- 2 level tbsp tomato puree
- 1 level tbsp brown sugar
- 1 1/2 - 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
- salt & ground black pepper
Place all the ingredients in a large non-stick saucepan, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve immediately or leave to cool and chill overnight so the flavours can improve. Next day reheat and serve.
