Spiced Texas Chilli

Ingredients

  • 350g pack Quorn Pieces
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper; deseeded & chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 x 397g/14 oz cans kidney beans, drained
  • 397g/14 oz can chopped tomatoes
  • 500g/1 lb 2 oz passata
  • 2 level tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 level tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 - 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp freshly chopped parsley
  • salt & ground black pepper

Place all the ingredients in a large non-stick saucepan, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Serve immediately or leave to cool and chill overnight so the flavours can improve. Next day reheat and serve.
